Ronne Heming

Vice president

Outcrop’s co-founder, Ronne came North from Montreal in 1975, having sold her yellow rag-top MGB to pay for the move. She holds a history degree from McGill as well as French and photography certificates. She also possesses a wealth of expertise: in photography and video editing, Northern research (including business, mining and tourism), historical research, copywriting, and book editing.

Over the course of her four decades in the North, Ronne has travelled a bit: She swam at the pool of the now-defunct Polaris Mine, flew a jet ranger helicopter in Nahanni, visited a drillship in the Beaufort Sea, cooked at Trout Lake (now Sambaa K’e) Lodge, and hiked part of the renowned Pang pass.
